About us

Beginning her career in 1979, Lori has been exposed to hair care and the salon industry since she was young. Initially, she did not gravitate toward this field due to the use of chemicals being so prevalent. It wasn’t until her mid-30’s that she became fascinated with a local barber-spa that had opened up in her area. After bringing her son to the shop for a haircut, she became intrigued by the idea of once again cutting hair. This time, focused solely on mens hair. After working at the barber-salon for 7 years, she came to Charleston and opened the Clipper Cub, which has been in business for 15 years. 

The main goal of the Clipper Club is to create a relaxing atmosphere, with her favorite classic 70’s music in the background and calming and therapeutic aromas in the effort to alleviate the tension that a stressful week may have. Lori is a certified massage therapist, who incorporates neck and shoulder massages in addition to a haircut, all included in the “Lifesaver package”.     

Her most cherished part of owning and operating Clipper Club is the relationships she has made along the way. She was even introduced to her husband at her shop and they have been married for 4 and-a-half years. 

In her free time, Lori enjoys nature hikes and traveling to the North Carolina mountains and taking in the scenery. She and her husband also have a passion for cooking, using organic ingredients to create healthy and enticing dishes.
